When shopping for a diamond engagement ring, there are 4 things that you need to look out for. These 4 "C's" will be the foundation of ring shopping and will greatly determine the value of a ring that you are about to buy.
1. Color - The color of a diamond is referring to its shade. The more colorless or clear looking that the diamond is, generally means it's more valuable. A diamond that has more yellow tones is worth less money. The color scales goes from D, which means that diamond is colorless all the way to Z, which would indicate that the diamond has a very yellow tone and is therefore less valuable. Anything in the D to I range would be considered a good quality diamond with little or no color.
